About Great
Great or Göteborg Region Easy Access Technology was formed in the year 2004.
It was an initiative in order to develop the IT-infrastructure in the Gothenburg region. And also to inform about the existing possibilities in communication.
The background was an investigation done by Finance Centre of Gothenburg about the IT-infrastructure in Gothenburg compared to other regions. The conclusion was that the infrastructure was very good, but that there was a lack of information about this. In order to maintain the infrastructure, there was thus a need for a better focus in this area.

Activities during 2005-07 have been
- to increase the number of members and interested parties
- to inform all involved and the public through a website and press
- arrange seminars about IT-infrastructure, such as IT in Logistics, TV through broadband, wireless broadband, etc.
- Investigate and inform about the IT-infrastructure in the region; compared over time and with other regions both in Sweden and abroad.
